With over 7 years of successful experience in Technical Operations, specializing in wind energy renewables, she is a trained wind turbine field service engineer with a strong technical focus and deep passion for the field. Her background includes expertise in wind turbine installation, troubleshooting, and skilfully interpreting schematics or wiring diagrams to diagnose malfunctions.
In her previous role as a GE Field Service Engineer at Kipeto Windfarm (102MW) in Kajiado, Joan supervised the installation and commissioning of 1.7MW GE wind turbines, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and equipment performance specifications. She also worked at Vestas LTWP where she was the Assistant Site Manager/ Site Installation Supervisor a from March 2016 to April 2017, she supervised the installation, and commissioning of WTG V52-850KW turbines.

As a Field Service Technician at HST Energy in The Netherlands, she troubleshooted, maintained, and monitored Condition Monitoring Systems on Vestas Turbines (V80 and V90). She completed preventive and corrective maintenance on customer systems, identified safety and non-compliance issues, and audited repairs to verify completeness and quality. She also has experience which includes serving as a Field Service Technician at T5 Wind Farm Thailand, where she performed mechanical and electrical completions on Vestas and GE turbines. T5 windfarm comprises five onshore wind power projects. Mainly constructed using Vestas V136-3.0MW and GE 3.43-137(Hybrid towers) turbines. The windfarm capacity upon completion is 720MW
