A seasoned transport specialist and professional logistician who made a decade-long foundation career in Commercial and Humanitarian Logistics, honed through roles with entities such as Inchcape Shipping Service, Kenfreight East Africa (Subsidiary of Mediterranean Shipping Co), UN World Food Program, and DB Schenker.

In 2012, Alex made a transition into freelance consultancy and has emerged as a respected figure in the field, contributing significantly to key projects. His extensive experience also encompasses a pivotal position as a National Transport Expert for Gauff Engineering & COWI Uganda, where he played a critical role in writing the National Integrated Transport Master Plan 2021 – 2040 for Uganda. Other noteworthy engagements include a Technical Study under Systra for TotalEnergies to establish the capacity to transport 18-metre Pipes in Tanzania. In 2023 he took another railways role as Senior Transport Planner for the Gulu – Pakwach railway feasibility study.

His skillset includes logistics training for Coffee & Cocoa SMEs in East Africa, as a consultant for the international Trade Centre (ITC Geneva) and the EU MARKUP Project. His involvement in high-impact studies, such as the Regional Trade and Transport study for COWI International A/S, attests to his expertise in the field. With a rich portfolio spanning diverse transport sub-sectors, Alex consistently delivers valuable insights and strategic contributions to the industry’s most challenging projects.
His academic/professional training includes – Fritz Institute Certification in Humanitarian Logistics (Fritz CHL) and Diploma in Sustainable Service Design (Lund University)
